last blog :(
Hi, let’s talk about studying a career in arts at University of Chile. I’m going to talk from my experience, I study visual arts. This career lasts 4 years and the curriculum has both theoretical and practical subjects. There’s always things that can be change to improve the experience of the students learning and following this, the first thing I would change in the curriculum are the quantity of hours of theoretical subjects and I would even eliminate some of these that make no sense to me.
Another thing that I would change is the length of the career, before it lasted 5 years so the students had more hours of practical subjects and they had more hours of practical subjects therefore more time to occupy their workshops and all the implements, besides learning more techniques. As for the academic load, I feel that it is a lot but because of the theoretical subjects, there are still some professors who think that their branch is the only one in the whole curriculum haha.
The infrastructure of my faculty leaves much to be desired. In winter when it rains, it always floods or there is a problem. We are not a faculty with lots of money, so they do not teach us to use the technologies that exist today, there is no budget to hire teachers to teach us these things.
I hope you have enjoyed my blogs, see you next time.
